This was taken after the entire stream was covered in one layer of blood, as you can see it is quite spread out and isn't particularly appealing at the moment. Just keep applying layers until you get the right colour for you. Blood usually acts like watered-down acrylic so just keep at it until it has a smooth, flat colour. Remember to keep opening up the cut as well. It will clot after a while and you need to keep the flow going if you want to finish the piece in one session.
